Steering Committee No. 8 - 3 Projects Approved

Steering Committee meeting No. 8 was held 8-9 May in Mechelen, Belgium. At the meeting, the Steering Committee took decisions regarding project applications received under the 8th Call for Applications.

Call for Applications No. 8 was closed 5 March 2012. The Call was only open for full project applications under priority 3. Prior to Call No. 8, there were 60 approved projects under the North Sea Region Programme. 55 full projects and 5 cluster projects.

Decisions from Steering Committee No. 8
Six applications were submitted, five full project applications and one application for extension of an already existing project. Two full project applications were approved and one application for extension was also approved by the Steering Committee.

The formal approval of a project application tabled from Steering Committee meeting No. 7 was also given by the Committee.

63 Projects under the Programme
After Steering Committee meeting No. 8 there are now 63 projects under the Programme.

All Lead Beneficiaries will be informed of the decision of the Steering Committee by mail. The approved projects will be made public subsequent to the new lead beneficaries being informed of the Steering Committee outcomes.

Status of funding allocation
The Programme is now in practice fully allocated. Priority 1, 2 and 4 are slightly over allocated and priority 3 is close to fully allocated, leaving no room for any further full projects at this time.

Next Call for Applications
No further Calls for Applications are foreseen at this time.
